In this episode, Zula and Sihkos disappear from Kiweetinook and set out for a place where they can purchase the best Christmas gift ever.  The women believe that Toyland, a new but mysterious discount store just north of their community, will have that special gift.  When they arrive the mysterious store-owner welcomes them with open arms and soon Zula and Sihkos are drawn into the store’s surreal and mysterious Presence!

SNTC is proud to present this 2009 Govenor General Award Winning Play.  This poignant work is a humorous, moving portrayal of three middle aged residential school survivors dealing with loss and the return of a long estranged daughter.  The play demonstrates the healing power of stories in a reserve community, and puts faith in the youth for hope for the future.
